Help: Compatible standalone broadcast applications
Here are some desktop applications which you can use to broadcast to Bambuser Premium using webcams or DV cameras.
Broadcasting over RTMP to Bambuser is only available for Premium customers.
Wirecast is a widely recognized live broadcasting tool. It is really easy to learn and has great CPU optimization so your productions always runs smooth. You can do a lot with Wirecast and it runs both on Windows as well as on Mac.
Instructions on how to use Wirecast with Bambuser
Download and install Wirecast. Commercial product (demo version available).
Recent versions of Wirecast (v4.1.4 and newer) has knowledge of Bambuser and lets you enter your username and password directly within Wirecast (go to Broadcast->Broadcast settings). For older versions, follow the remaining steps:
- Download your authentication profile. Keep it safe, anyone with this file can broadcast to your account.
- In Wirecast, click Broadcast->Broadcast settings, select a Flash compatible preset and click "Open Flash Media Encoder Configuration File" to load your authentication profile.
- Configure audio and video and start broadcasting!
Switcher Studio functions as a video “switching” tool that allows users to
sync up to four iOS devices, and switch between each unit’s built-in camera
to record and instantly stream a live video feed to Bambuser.

Download and install Switcher Studio. Commercial product (free version allows 30 minutes of streaming per day).
Flash Media Encoder doesn't hold the great features of multi-cam, audio and video graphics of the two earlier mentioned but it gives you as a producer complete control over your streaming and has more options related to the encoding and stream latency. Windows and Mac.
