How to install

  1. Download one of our GTM recipes that includes all our data layer variables and triggers and GA4 tags.
  2. Import the recipe in your Google Tag Manager by going to Admin -> Import Container img
  3. Select what tags, variables and triggers to import (usually all of them but you might already have a variable for your Google Analytics Measure ID or you might not want to use the Google Analytics tag at all) img
  4. Go to folders or variables and find Bambuser Measure ID img
  5. Change the value of the Bambuser Measure ID to your own Google Analytics Measurement ID in order to report the tracking events to your GA property img
Universal Analytics (UA)

If you do not use Google Analytics you can remove the two Google Analytics Tags but still import all Bambuser Variables and Triggers that can be useful if you want to send the tracking to any other analytics engine but still use Google Tag Manager

Recipes

Choose one of the following three recipes that suits you best. The FULL GTM recipe includes everything from the other two, we have just made it easier for you to have a combined file as well.

Google Analytics

Since we follow Google Analytics 4 ecommerce tracking standards you will automatically get some views populated when you have installed the GTM recipe.

Our GA4 ecommerce events will automatically populate the pre-configured Monetization reports in Google Analytics. You will see number of item views, added to cart, and viewed cart events such as the example below. img

FAQ

Bambuser automatically publish add_to_cart events to make it easier for most merchants.
