Images Are Not Loading or Are Loading Very Slow

Bambuser uses the Image Transformer to optimize product images before they are displayed in the call. If your product images are not loading, or are loading slow, this is likely due to restrictions from your Content Delivery Network (CDN) or firewall. This issue is most commonly seen with Akamai CDN, which can block requests from the Bambuser Image Transformer. Follow the steps below to fix the issue.

Cause of the Issue​

The issue usually arises when CDNs, like Akamai, block requests made by Bambuser’s Image Transformer. These blocks prevent the Image Transformer from accessing and modifying the images, resulting in them not displaying in the player.

Solution: Whitelist the Bambuser Image Transformer​

To resolve the issue, whitelist Bambuser’s Image Transformer by allowing specific User-Agent requests or IP addresses.

Whitelist by User-Agent​

Bambuser’s Image Transformer identifies itself using the following User-Agent string:
BambuserLiveShopping/1.0

Ensure that this User-Agent is allowed through your CDN or firewall.

Whitelist by Static IP Address​

Whitelist the following static IP addresses if additional restrictions are in place:

  • Global server: 35.224.84.15
  • EU server: 35.240.106.166
